The main highlight of our trip back to Kuantan that weekend was to celebrate Alvin mom's birthday, which actually falls on Thursday, 21 August 2008. After many good suggestions on places to have dinner, we ended up choosing Kenny Rogers.. somewhere different from the usual chinese food restaurants...
After dinner, Jocelyn and Kien Wai took off first and went home to prepare the surprise blueberry cheese birthday cake that they helped Adrian (Alvin's brother) buy in Secret Receipe. When my surprised mother in-law got home, we all sang 'Happy Birthday' and father in-law gave her a beautiful bouquet of roses with teddy bears on it!!! SO ROMANTIC!!!!! (upon request from father in-law, Jocelyn helped arrange for the flowers...what can i say... you can always rely on DAUGHTERS to get something done =P ) - can't post any pictures here which we took after our dinner in Kenny Rogers cause it's in father in-law's camera.
