Congratulations & farewell dinner thrown by my Dad (Sat., 30 Aug. 2008)

This is one of the most memorable dinner and moment my dad organized for us. It is a congratulations-cum-farewell dinner in 'Overseas' restaurant, PJ... congratulations for getting registered and farewell as we are leaving for Australia soon... there were a total of eight (8) tables that night and we were all entertained by talented family members, friends and relatives who sang beautifully... the highlight that night was performance from my grandpa, my dad and ALVIN'S DAD (mother in-law told me that he sings fantastically but have not sung in public before.... i asked my dad to invite him out to sing... and so, that night was Alvin's dad's FIRST performance in 62 years!!!!)

I didn't know that my father in-law has a talent in singing until that night!!!! He sang 'My Way'... it was soooo good till i was dazed for a few days....

Some close friends and my youngest sister Hooi Lian were suppose to sing a song with me but they tricked me and left me in front on my own =(

I was terrified but Alvin came to my rescue and sang the song with me (actually, he did all the singing while i lip sang =P ).... Nice of him wasn't it?.. that's why i married him.. cause i know i can always count on him in whatever situation.. =) also our first time 'performing' together...

My dad and i.... do you think he looks fierce?... most people thinks so but to all his children, he is the best dad one can have... he never beats nor yell at us when we were young... although we all demand alot from him and he is playing a duo role as a parent for 6 years now, he is very PATIENT with us.... wonder how he does that???
