As my in-laws know that i love to eat, they organized for the whole family to visit Kuala Kemaman, Terengganu so that i can taste their famous satah, otak-otak and coffee!!... everything was YUMMMMMM.... worth the hour drive from Kuantan!
Also, after we had the famous Kemaman coffee in this shop lot called 'Hai Peng', we made a stop at 'Chukai' town in Kemaman (this town was named 'Chukai' due to its history whereby each year, one live will be lost to crocodiles in that area. To the locals, the lives lost each year is like paying taxes. Hence the name 'Chukai' which means tax in the Malay language) to take a glimpse on the second house Alvin's parents rented together when they were posted to Kemaman after graduating from teacher's colledge in Kuantan. They were residing here from 1973 untill they moved back to Kuatan in 1975 (the year Alvin's brother, the badminton player in the family, Adrian Cheong Hoong Ming was born). It's been nearly 33 years now since they left the place and the house is still intact!!!!!
Alvin's parents (Andy Chong Weng Hoi @ Cheong Weng Hoi and Josephine Ong Kow Siew @ Ong Kon Siew) second home in Chukai, Kemaman. Back then, Alvin who was under the care of his beloved late grandfather, Cheong Sik Lun (who protects and loves Alvin very much), recalls he made visits to his parents during their stay there...

Eating the yummy otak-otak (had a piece of fish in it... very different than the ones i have in KL and Johor) together with the new joys in my life (Alvin's family)... After seeing Jocelyn's couple picture taken, Alvin and i had to have one too... although not as loving, but not too bad right?... =P
