Friendly family match during our weekend in Hyatt Hotel, Kuantan (2 & 3 August 2008)

I first took up tennis last year and was coached by the most patient, generous (he gives away his racket to people who needs them) and talented (he has been playing tennis since 30 years ago!) coach around... who is he you may ask... well, he is no other than my father-in-law!!! As i am not a sports person, his patience with me drew me closer to liking tennis and wanting to play well...

Tennis is an important part of our lives as Alvin and i enjoy the game and we play twice a week (Alvin actually plays 4 times a week... two days with me and the other two with his regulars).. also without fail, whenever opportunity arises, we will play tennis with my coach, Alvin's sister Jocelyn and her easy-going boyfriend Loo Kien Wai... Alvin and i hope to continue playing as much when we are in Australia.. but it won't be the same without the presence of this lovely and funny bunch...

Let me introduce you to the team.......

COACH - showing me what i love doing in tennis.. which is what i am NOT suppose to do.. leaning away from the ball =P

COACH - showing me how it's suppose to be done... he looks gaya leh.. dont play-play =P

(look extra gaya cause.. coach using my first 'Head' racket! )

Alvin - assistant coach, fully dressed in NIKE... also a Federer wannabe =P

Jocelyn Cheong Suet May - Alvin's fun-loving little sister.. don't be deceived by her sweet look and tiny figure...very difficult to beat at tennis.. hard to kill!!!

Coach and me (in full FILA outfit) on the tennis court..... pressure but....SURE WIN!!!

Me showing off to coach my 'gaya' (stylish in English) forehand... hmmm he looked like he was admiring my shot.. thank you, thank you =P

Our favorite opponent for doubles (Jocelyn and her bf Kien Wai).... loser buys breakfast... also in this picture on the other court is Tan Chik Boon (Alvin's close childhood fishing friend)
